Directorate of Map Publication is a mapping and printing directorate with its headquarters at Rawalpindi. The directorate is an important integral part and back bone of the department since independence. The directorate has vital role in formulating deparmental policies on mapping, printing, use and custody of maps. All professional instructions on analogue & digital data and control of printing activities are the main task of this prestigious directorate. It functions with one Cartographic Unit, one Printing Press and a Geodetic Unit. The directorate is equipped with sophisticated machines and has a spectrum of team consisting of young, dynamic and energetic staff possessing modern knowledge, extensive experience in mapping and capabilities to keep them one step ahead to face the challenges of the millennium and to keep themselves aware with the technologies of modern era, especially in mapping, printing and publishing.
